One thing that surprised me recently was...
How one short out-of-town trip resulted in me trying to "catch up" to the routine I was flawlessly executing since the year had started. Everything went off the rails, yet I was able to find comfort and peace in doing my best, even though it wasn't what I had planned. In my last newsletter, I wrote this note to myself, "do more thinking in March, and maybe a little less doing. π
." In hindsight, I probably needed that note stuck to my forehead.

BlerdCon 2026
I had a blast attending my first BlerdCon this year. I cosplayed for the first time with my childhood best friend, attended panels, networked, presented a new workshop, and a new panel. BlerdCon is truly a special convention, and I look forward to attending again
Animation Nights x NJ Devils
On April 4th, I got to moderate a panel for Anime Social Nexus. They are an Anime Lifestyle group that has been creating unique fandom-centric events since 2020. This panel was an indie industry panel featuring a few peers that I've met along the way. This was my first time attending a hockey game. I had no idea it was going to be as fun as it was. I'd gladly attend another one next season!
Spin Cycle x LALIFF
As I've mentioned in previous newsletters and on social media, over the last year, I have been producing my 3rd indie animated short film. This was my first time working with a national indie studio and with a peer turned very good friend. I'll be back at LALIFF this year to attend the special screening of our film.
Kickstarter success!
We launched a Kickstarter to raise funds to finish the film. We reached our funding goal in less than 3 days, and we've since surpassed our goal. This allowed us to pay for the music score, marketing, and visibility. It will also allow us to travel to connect with local organizations and community member that are working towards overcoming homelessness and getting people housed.
LALIFF 2026
I'll be returning to LALIFF for the third year in a row! I think it is truly a blessing to have been selected by three talented first-time directors over the years to help them bring their stories to audiences near and far. I enjoy LALIFF and am excited to be returning.

SVA x Ghost Trip
Thesis Advisor
Over the last 4 months, I accepted an opportunity to be a thesis advisor at my alma mater. To know me is to know that I deeply love my undergrad, SVA. I don't hesitate at any opportunity to give back with my time and expertise.
I was paired with a student, Ari Ceppi, who wanted to use our time together to learn more about animation production management. It couldn't have been a better match.

DreamCon 2026
I'm happy to share that I'll be a part of two panels at DreamCon in Houston, Texas, this year! It'll be my first time in Houston.
