Podcast Highlights: Animation, Insight, and a Little Fun

It's been two years since I released an episode of my podcast. When I published my previous episode, I knew it would be my last episode for a while. Despite the time passing, I've been able to keep people engaged by posting clips of my episodes during this hiatus. I think that the beauty of creating is to create and not to chase trends or popularity. My episodes still hold a lot of value, resources, and insight. This month, I'd like to highlight a few of my standout episodes.

JUST FOR YOU:

Stand Out Episodes

Guest: Karen Rupert Toliver

Karen is the only Black woman I know to hold the title of Creative Executive. Exploring the animation industry
– one episode at a time

Above are just some of our guests over the last 4 seasons.

Each guest brings real-world experience, valuable advice, and personal stories that resonate with creatives, regardless of where they are in their journey. These conversations offer a genuine look at what it takes to thrive (and survive) in the industry.

In addition to industry interviews and career conversations, the podcast also dives into animated series and movie reviews. These episodes blend thoughtful critique with personal perspective, highlighting what makes a show or film resonate with viewers, whether it’s the storytelling, design, character development, or cultural impact. From nostalgic classics to the latest releases, these reviews give listeners a deeper appreciation for animation as both an art form and a reflection of the world around us. It’s a fun, insightful way to stay connected to the medium while learning how to look at animation through a creative and critical lens.
