July Recap + A Free Event You Don’t Want to Miss!
This July was a whirlwind of creativity, community, and full-on nerd joy, and I’m still processing it all. From my Pixar birthday tradition to attending San Diego Comic-Con for the very first time, it’s been a month packed with inspiration and milestones.
Let me catch you up:

My Annual Pixar Birthday Tradition
Every year, I celebrate my birthday by watching a Pixar film, and this year was no different. I made a video sharing why this tradition means so much to me, how it connects to my career in animation, and what this year’s pick was.
P.S. Reply and let me know what your favorite animated film is. I’m always building my rewatch list!

My First Time at San Diego Comic-Con!
Black N Animated showed up in a BIG way with our Black Animation Execs Talk Shop panel, portfolio reviews, and a mixer AND the short film Marvelous Gift, which I produced, was screened! We even had a quick Q&A after.
It was surreal to stand in that space as both a fan and a creator. I shared a recap video with all the highlights:

Nerd Events Galore
Earlier this year I tapped into my fandom roots with some amazing events. I attended some nostalgic events, a few meet ups and even a paint n sip. Between community building and geeking out, I found myself recharged creatively.

In Loving Memory,
This month I learned that my friend and a major supporter of all things Simply Robotix has passed away. We became fast friends right before Covid and I'm going to deeply miss her. In her honor, I'd like to share her episode on Simply Robotix, The Podcast.
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”
