A lot is happening in the animation world lately, and I'm back this month with a few things to share. This month for me is all about storytelling, culture and coming together through our love or enjoyment of animation.
Community Spotlight: BlkWmnAnimator
3D MODELER | TEACHER | SPEAKER | YOUTUBER | JOURNALIST | THOUGHT LEADER
I'd like to shine a light on Deborah Anderson, the creator behind BlkWmnAnimator, a platform dedicated to highlighting individuals who have worked in the animation industry.
Deborah isn't actually an animator and in her video above she explains why she decided to go by that. Deborah is a talented 3D artist but also a passionate community leader creating a space for representation and visibility within the animation industry. Through BlkWmnAnimator, she provides resources, shares career insights and highlights professionals from all over the world.
3 Reasons to Check Out BlkWmnAnimator:
- Inspiring Content: Learn from interviews and resources tailored for creatives and aspiring animators.
- Representation Matters: Celebrate and support the contributions of Black professionals in animation. (She has interviewed 100 Black people that work in animation on her youtube channel)
- Community Connection: Stay connected to a growing network of animation professionals and enthusiasts. (She also has a community Discord for current College students)
